My name is Ian. I’ve been a client of CD Financial for almost three years, and my adviser is Leanne.

I wanted to get a new mortgage. I’d taken out a Help-to-Buy loan, so I was aiming to pay that off and take out a new mortgage plan that would essentially finish the Help-to-Buy loan. CD Financial was able to help me do that, and using the toolkits that they’ve got, they found a mortgage plan that was right for me.

I found out about CD Financial initially through a recommendation from a friend. With it being a local business, it was somewhere that I passed quite regularly, but to be honest, I never really had a reason to go in until I started the remortgage process. It was quite daunting because you don’t always know what you’re walking into, but it was such a friendly welcome, and everybody at CD Financial was really helpful. They pointed me in the right direction and got me all the answers that I needed, so it put me at ease straight away.

CD Financial provided advice related mainly to the mortgage, but also the Help-to-Buy equity loan from the government. Leanne was really helpful in explaining how it works, how to pay it off, and how we can incorporate it to make life a little easier for me and a little less stressful. Leanne was also able to look into life insurance and other products that would help me to live comfortably.

There was a time when CD Financial went above and beyond for me towards the end of my remortgage process. It was a time of uncertainty backwards and forwards with solicitors and evaluators. Leanne agreed to meet me with very short notice; she prepared all my notes for my file and was able to go into detail with me, which again, put me at ease. It can be quite stressful and worrying when things backtrack, and they aren’t going in the direction you think they’re going in. Leanne was very good to meet me at such short notice and put me at ease by going through everything I needed and answering all my questions.

Working with CD Financial is great. I’m a big believer in supporting local businesses, so it’s great to be able to support somebody on my doorstep. Leanne, in particular, has been fantastic from start to finish. The knowledge that she has and her interest in the areas of business that relate to my case are really helpful. She’s been able to provide all the information I’ve needed, and it’s made life so much easier.

If I had to describe Leanne in three words, I’d describe her as friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable.

One of the best things about working with CD Financial is how personalised they made their service for me; it wasn’t just a carbon copy of everybody else. They sat down to truly get to know me and took time to find out what it was I wanted from their service, and they implemented that; they took it on board, made it work for me, and found the best product for me, which ultimately was a great result.

I would absolutely recommend CD Financial to anybody who’s thinking about remortgaging. It does take a lot of the pressure off the whole process. It can be long-winded; it can be a lot of unknown items, and there are a lot of things to overcome, but they take a lot of the stress out of it, do all the hard work for you, and help you out through the entire process.
